IGNITE | SCALE | SAN DIEGO Innovation Program

The IGNITE | SCALE | SAN DIEGO Innovation Program is a multi-quarter framework for producing innovative projects that benefit the greater San Diego community. The program identifies actionable requirements to key urban problems, surfaces them to the San Diego community for solutioning, mentors teams and their concepts, evaluates solutions leading to pilots and prototypes, and, finally,accelerates them to sustainable businesses.

HOW IT WORKS

Get started by learning more about the program and challenges areas at our Info Session. Participate in the Hackathon and Innovation Challenge to win cash prizes and, more importantly, have a chance to have your solution implemented by the City of San Diego.

By participating not only will you learn from the City leaders, you will have a chance to work with the most cutting edge technology tools and solution development processes and at the end win cash prizes and, more importantly, have a chance to have your solution implemented by the City of San Diego.

	Week 1 — Day 1 Kickoff Info Session Meet with organizers, technology partners, and San Diego City officials to get answers to all of your hackathon questions. Learn more about the challenge areas, goals and prizes, and event format.
	Week 1 Innovation Sprint Come teamed up, or join one on site, and hack the night away to develop & prototype idea. Bounce ideas around with entreprenuers and innovators while winning prizes, and learning about San Diego.
	Weeks 2 — 13 Rapid Development & Prototyping Take your idea to the next level with the help of experienced mentors and subject matter experts. Leverage cutting edge technology to create impactful and innovative solutions to today's urban problems.
	Week 14 Reverse Pitch Competition Get valuable feedback from a diverse panel of judges from SCALE San Diego, US Ignite, City of San Diego, and more. Win prizes and an opportunity to pilot your solution and join the SCALE incubator to see how far your solution can go.
